We are thrilled to present our branding for the year… Original art, designed and drawn by our very own Tayla O’Brien.
Premier women’s player, National League Golden Boot winner, coach, Football Fern AND artist. Tayla has been working hard this pre-season, curating and composing symbols that best represent Eastern Suburbs for her – and all of us.
It’s going to be an exciting season, so get ready for it Lilywhites!
Tayla describes each symbol:
Lillies represent ‘resilience’ as they are one of the sturdiest of flowers that can grow under pressure, signifying Eastern Suburbs’ grow and resilience.
The trophies represent our greatest success, goals and ambitions.
The Pohutukawa tree is important and iconic in Aotearoa, also prominent in the Kohimarara suburb. Mangopare symbolies strength, courage, and tenacity, very much a representation of the Lilywhite spirit.
Football is everything, the reason for what we do.
